I played tourist for a day with American tourists and students from EA! We went to Healesville and killed two birds with one stone! I was able to tick this off my goals list. We had a great day. I remember not feeling well this day but the fresh air and the animals seemed to be the best cure for the day. Would suggest Healesville to anyone looking to see, touch, and learn about Australian animals.

Healesville Sanctuary
Healesville Sanctuary, or the Sir Colin MacKenzie Fauna Park, is a zoo specializing in native Australian animals. It is located at Healesville in rural Victoria, Australia, and has a history of breeding native animals. It is one of only two places to have successfully bred a platypus, the other being Sydney's Taronga Zoo. It also assists with a breeding population of the endangered Helmeted Honeyeater.
