St. Mary Roman Catholic Church (Detroit, Michigan)
St. Mary Roman Catholic Church (1885) in Detroit, Michigan is among the oldest churches in Detroit. It is located in heart of Greektown Historic District within Detroit's downtown area. It is sometimes called Old St. Mary's Church. The parish was founded in the 1830s by German immigrants and has served the city's German speaking community. St. Mary Parish is staffed by Spiritans. Its German born and trained architect Peter Dederichs was a parishioner of the Church.
