ABOUT EQUATORIAL GUINEA
Equatorial Guinea, officially the Republic of Equatorial Guinea is a country located in Middle Africa. With an area of 28,000 square kilometres (11,000 sq mi) it is one of the smallest countries in continental Africa. It is also the most prosperous, however the wealth is concentrated in government and elite hands, with 70% of the population living under the United Nations Poverty Threshold of $2/day. It has a population of 1,014,999.

Bata is a port city in the Litoral Province of Equatorial Guinea. With a 2005 estimated population of 173,046, it is the largest city in Equatorial Guinea. It lies on the Atlantic Ocean coast of Río Muni. Bata was formerly capital of Equatorial Guinea and is a transport hub and port, from which ferries sail to Malabo and Douala, and fliers can land at Bata Airport. It is also known for its nightlife and market.
Moka, or Moca, is a town located on the island of Bioko in Equatorial Guinea. The town is named after the Bubi King Möókáta, or King Moka, who ruled from 1835 to 1845 and again in 1875 through 1898 during the Bahítáari Dynasty.
The Monte Alén National Park is found in Equatorial Guinea. It was established in 1990. This site is approx. 2000 km².
Bioko (spelled also Bioco, in Europe traditionally called Fernando Pó) is an island 32 km off the west coast of Africa, specifically Cameroon, in the Gulf of Guinea. It is the northernmost part of Equatorial Guinea with a population of 260,000 and an area of 2,017 km (779 sq mi). It is volcanic with its highest peak the Pico Basile at 3,012 m (9,882 ft).
Pico Basilé (formerly Pico de Santa Isabel) is the highest mountain on the island of Bioko, which is part of Equatorial Guinea. With an altitude of 9,878 ft (3,011 m), it is the summit of the largest and highest of three overlapping basaltic shield volcanoes which form the island. From the summit, Mt. Cameroon can be seen to the northeast. Pico Basilé lies close to the city of Malabo.
