PROGRESS UPDATE
An update from JD.

I read Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall on the recommendation of a friend. I’m very thankful that I did. I would recommend it as well.
This book highlights intersectional issues that are often overlooked in discussions of women’s rights, especially by white, financially privileged feminists. Matters related to race, poverty and criminal justice are feminists issues. If we’re going to call ourselves feminists, we can’t work to improve things for one subset of women at the detriment of others.
