08. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
-- I would put myself first instead of others; I would defend myself and work harder toward my goals; I would have cut communications with my father and done it permanently; I would have gotten into therapy sooner; I would have talked to a dietitian and joined a gym to get healthy; and I wouldn't have quit college so many times.
07. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
-- At the moment I am MOSTLY settling for what I am doing, but I am WORKING toward doing what I believe in. I am struggling to manage forty years of depression, so I need to work on baby steps.
06. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
-- Creating music, singing, yoga instruction, meditation leader, chef, painting, drawing, and writing good fantasy fiction.
05. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
-- I wish we could all be a little kinder, and help people in need who are wiling to work hard for their future.
04. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
Yes. Between years of anxiety and trauma coupled with periods in my life of being an utter blowhard, I am definitely more likely to have said than have done.
03. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
-- It's called responsibility. In order to pay the bills and run a home, you kinda have to basic shit first.
01. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
-- Emotionally I'm still in my mid 20s. I've been in counseling for the past four years, but I was emotionally stunted due to untreated complex PTSD. (I have some other issues, but I don't feel comfortable acknowledging them.) I'm finally starting to calm down and look forward to life with fresh eyes, albeit with aches and pains in joints. ;D
