Despite not really liking Matt Damon, I have to admit I liked the movie more. That said, the movie wasn't perfect. It annoyed me how they kept calling him Mark and not Watney, but compared to the book they streamlined a lot of the problems I had with the book. Weir's book, basically, was like every time he got bored he just cooked up another thing that could go horribly wrong. It made an uneven and WHAT NOW kind of read.
