This was on my list for 2020, but when I saw that Parasite was playing here I didn't want to wait. It was such a great film.

Truly one of my favorite theaters. At the beginning of every film an organist rises up from beneath the stage on a platform to perform for spectators, and then the platform lowers back down beneath the stage.

I went to the historic Tampa Theater to watch the movie Parasite. Parasite is a Korean film directed by Bong Joon-ho. The film was subtitled, and had a fantastic twist to it. I highly recommend this film, and I love that I was able to watch it here. The theater was built in 1926. The architect designed the theater to feel as if you were watching a film under the open sky. It is absolutely beautiful.
