I loved this book. Set in a world inspired by medieval Russia and Russian folklore, this book was brimming with both everyday folk magic-- feeding bread to the friendly oven spirits, traditional charms and wards- and grand dark fantasy, fighting the malevolent god of Frost and Winter and the undead he sends. Fantastic.
