A note on Day Zero Project on the goal: Watch the sunrise

PROGRESS UPDATE

A goal of Pan Reas on their Original 101 Things in 1001 Days list with a status of Done.

I watched the sunrise this morning at the dawn service, but I figure I could do better. It was pouring rain so I had to watch through umbrellas and the sun itself was never visible, only coming up under the clouds. It continued to rise slightly as we walked back to the city. It just wasn't the best day for it.

We stayed near the Charles Bridge in Prague and got there at 4:50am. It was already a bit lighter than I hoped, but the sun definitely hadn't risen yet, and did gradually within the next hour. It was gorgeous and we witnessed a wedding on the bridge - now that's dedication! I do think the winter fog depicted in the classical images of a Charles Bridge sunset would have added something but nevertheless, a goal ticked.
