PROGRESS UPDATE
A goal of Squidgery on their 101 Things in 1001 Days list with a status of Done.

Interestingly, people do not teach you exact things as much as you think they will; for the most part it's simply the situations you get into and gradually learn how to react to which really change things. When you do an activity like this you start to see how people can end up fitting into a kind of 'category' in your life - those people taught me how to end a friendship, those people I went to school with but never really learned any "lessons" from.
As it turns out, there's probably only a handful of people that you can say have really taught you something or shaped the way you are with more than just memories or events you experienced with them. These people made you think about something another way, made you view yourself differently, made you feel better or worse somehow. These people are set apart from the general crowd of people that filter in and out of your life because they didn't just happen to you, you responded back and changed something fundamental about yourself.
